"Isn't that Akshat?", Shubhangi asked me.
"And now, who is that?", I said.
"I Had seen him at a party last week. I found him so different."
I looked up at the 'different' guy.
He wore a checked shirt, just like the guy right next to his table did. He had a common hairstyle. He was as normally busy with his phone as so many others in the room were! He was average in looks. I turned to her.
"Did you talk to him?", I said.
"No!! I just saw him at the party with some people I know".
"And what on earth encouraged you to call this guy 'different'?"
"Look, Sapna! Let it Be. I don't 'think' so much like you all the time."
She turned towards where he was sitting and looked at him while he was confused with his tangled earphones.
"He is just like any other guy Shubhangi.", I said with a sigh.
"Why don't you consider an exile?", she said helplessly, well, anyone would.
Now, it was just a mere energy about him she liked. And, indeed, it made her very curious about him too. You notice, admire, and you like it. This is natural. Happens with everyone. At one point or the other, you do come across people: not many, just a few, who impress you. They don't talk to you. They are not even that extra ordinarily special, but there is something about them you tend to like. What is it?
It is Interest. It is curiousness. It may be like a passing phase. Sometimes, (that is what I generally find,) people misunderstand it as their Crush on that person. But, it is really not that way. It is a very strong impression, that has scope to grow further!
You notice that person, very minutely. You tend to like small things about him or her. You even tend to avoid a few flaws thinking that nobody is perfect. But frankly speaking, what you avoid now, is what comes in front of you majorly, later! And, what you consider 'different' now, is really not enough, later again.
People casually say, The First Observation about a person, always stays. But they forget to tell (to those who do not think so much*) that you see what they want to show.
It is not just girls. It applies to Boys too. They see this girl. She is sweet, she doesn't talk to boys much. But, she looks so much modern! "Man, this girl is not like others. She is definitely good and, yes, she is different".
Dude, her brother was in the same room!
Positiveness. Charm. Intelligence. Values.
How can you judge a person has all this^? We trust what we see. What we see is not always right. And when, on one fine day we come to know this, we feel like a fool.
Suddenly, the same 'different' person is non-ethical, unworthy, and too much ordinary! (The common used phrase is "Like any other!")
Our conclusions change. The person is the same.
Your conceptions are not always wrong. Personally, my conceptions have even improved at times. Sometimes you find a person very negative in the start. But, by time, you realize that you were wrong.
It is about us! What we See in a person! What we conclude out of him or her!
It is easier when we don't judge. So, the next time you find a 'different' person. Make sure you don't annoy yourself later..!
Cheers. :)
